The Rural Development Association of Northeast Kansas is located in the corner of Kansas, on the crossroads of four different states. Our office is located in Sabetha, which is on the border of Brown County and Nemaha County.
Part of the NEKCRED (see map below) region, Brown and Nemaha Counties offer a unique blend of a small-town atmosphere combined with a strong industrial base, a varied post-secondary education opportunities, a scenic country-side full of recreation opportunities, and a business-friendly climate. Our city populations range from 46 to 3500, offering a variety of lifestyles to choose from. In addition, within one half hour to 2 hours you can reach a one of these metropolitan areas: Kansas City, Missouri, St. Joseph, Missouri, Topeka, KS, Omaha, Nebraska, and Lincoln, Nebraska.
